Our destination today is Dawson Creek and the drive was quite pleasant. The rain had stopped for the most part and traffic was quite light. We did have a couple of delays due to construction but nothing major. We had traveled this highway in the spring and so we just enjoyed revisiting it. Of course we had to take a couple of pictures.
Later in the afternoon we came to Fort St. John, it is 40 miles northwest of Dawson Creek. In passing through Fort St. John the trucks SPS (Starbucks Positioning System) kicked in and we had to make a quick stop. We were both going through withdrawl as it has been 12 days since the last fix.
Once we left Fort St. John we crossed over the Peace River and then climbed out of the Peace River Valley. I just had to stop and take a picture and hoped the camera captured the magnitude of what we were seeing.

Shortly after leaving the Valley we came to and crossed the Kiskatinaw River. When viewing the vista from the bridge we just had to stop. Kathy walked back and got a couple of pictures. It was pretty awesome.
It was only a short time later that we came to Dawson Creek.
We headed down to the centre of town to the Mile 0 Post and subsequently the end of this chapter of our travels. The Alaskan Adventure has finished, we have come full circle. It took 115 days, 8500 miles and 2500 pictures but the circle is complete.
